Donny Pangilinan first gained following
through his interaction with his fans on social media. But things took a
different turn after his appearance on Magandang
Buhay in 2016 with his mother. That lone event spawned other guestings and
other opportunities including endorsements and an offer to become a MYX VJ.
Aside
from hosting, Donny also dabbled into singing which yielded two singles “Did
You” and “Different kind of Love.” He is keen on unveiling his acting chops,
which will happen very soon given that he has finally landed his debut film Walwal along with co-Star Magic artists Jerome
Ponce and Elmo Magalona, among others and his debut soap Playhouse opposite Kisses Delavin.

LuvU and the recently-concluded
afternoon soap The Promise of Forever.
Aside
from acting, Zonia also dreams of dabbling into dancing in the future. But if
given the chance, she would like to portray the role of a mermaid, since
swimming is her cup of tea.
YASMYNE SUAREZ
Age:
20
Birthday: September 6
Talents:
Acting and singing
As
far as being equipped is concerned, Yasmyne Suarez is coming into the industry
with the necessary tools at hand. Yasmyne started training under Star Magic
workshops as early as 2013. In order to pursue her passion further, she then
decided to study theater in the Ivy League school New York University for two
years.
Soon
as she returned into the country, Yasmyne made sure to put what she has learned
in the US into practice by continuing with Star Magic’s acting workshops. She
was finally able to utilize what she was able to learn from all her acting
classes last year when she was asked to do a stint for the horror flick Spirit of the Glass 2.
But if she could
have it her way, Yasmyne dreams of starring in her very own Olivia Lamasan opus
a la Starting Over Again in the
future.
HENZ VILLARAIZ
Age:
18

Singing, acting,
dancing, playing the guitar and writing songs
His
affinity for boybands inspired Henz Villaraiz to try his luck on Pinoy Boyband Superstar last year. While
many didn’t make the cut, Henz made it to the live shows and his weeks of
performances and trainings in the show landed him a spot on the competition’s
Top 10. Little did Henz know that the said blessing would change his life for
good as he was among the few ones who were selected by Mr. M to sign a
management contract under Star Magic.
Born
in Manila, Henz pursued his education in Australia but he then moved to Japan
where his mother is now based. But his mother’s desire to teach him independence
led him back into the country and into Star Magic. At the moment, Henz is part
of the daytime soap Sana Dalawa ang Puso

Festival.
DANIELA STRANNER
Age:

Dancing and playing the
guitar
Filipino-German
Daniela Stranner is one of the youngest members of the group who hails from
Pampanga. Scouted at a music festival, Daniela, with her foreign-looks, really
eyes to become a model. But fate seems to have other plans for this young
football varsity player after a VTR session, which eventually led to her going
face-to-face with Mr. M.
Not too long, she signed up for
acting workshops and eventually caught the eye of some local magazines for
photoshoots. But this young stunner is excited to delve further into the
industry, hopefully, through rom-com movies in the future.
PATTY MENDOZA
Age:
20
Birthday: September 15
Talents: Dancing, sketching/drawing, singing
Her
face may resemble many other stars in the business today, but Patty Mendoza is
sure to be a persona of her own. Patty was discovered modeling in University of
Santo Tomas, where she finished her degree. That lucky day eventually led to
her taking part in a go-see with Mr. M.
Prior
to being discovered, though, she has already taken part in a number of
commercials. Now that she’s launched, Patty hopes to be able to put all that
she has learned from the acting workshops into the test by taking part in a film
together with her idols Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz.
LEILA ALCASID
Age:
20
Birthday: October 16
Talents:
Singing,
painting/drawing, and writing
Her
venture into the industry might seem expected, what with her father, Ogie
Alcasid’s innumerable contributions to the music industry and her beauty queen
mother, Michelle Van Eimeren’s stint in the local tinseltown. But Leila Alcasid
didn’t really see it coming when she met with Star Magic’s Mr. M. That meeting
spawned the suggestion for her to undergo acting workshops that eventually
endeared her to the business.
Aside
from acting, Leila also excels in singing. In fact, she recently-released her
first single “Completely In Love With You.” Leila hopes to be able to star in a
film with her dad.
ANNA LUNA
Age:
22
Birthday: September 12
Talents:
Acting, singing, and
dancing
She
has already made waves in the independent film scene not only locally but
overseas. But Anna Luna first dipped her hands into acting as a thespian as
young as 15 years old. PETA honed her acting chops before she even entered the
independent film scene. Among her most notable projects were Paglipay by Zig Dulay and Maestra by Lemuel Lorca, which earned
her a Best Actress award from the Five
Continents International Film Festival in
Venezuela. She has also been part of a number of Star Cinema films such as The Breakup Playlist, How to be Yours and Dear Other Self, all as a best friend of the main character.
But her most notable work of late
was the award-winning film Changing Partners,
which also paved the way for her to catch Mr. M’s attention. While many aspire
for title films, Anna has but a simple wish now that she’s part of Star Magic
Circle 2018 and that is to be able to headline her own Maalaala Mo Kaya episode.
CHANTAL VIDELA
Age:
15
Birthday: December 15
Talents:
acting, singing,
modelling, and playing guitar and piano
Standing
5’5” Fil-Argentinian Chantal Videla started in the business as a commercial
model when she was just 13-years-old. Unlike many teens her age who might be
intimidated to try her luck in auditioning for Star Magic, Chantal welcomed the
challenge and it did pay off for her as she got accepted into the fold.
Chantal hopes to follow the steps of
her idol Liza Soberano and even have the chance to work with her in the future
either in rom-com or light drama films or soap operas.
KARL GABRIEL
Age:
20 yrs old
Birthday: December 1
Talents: Acting and dancing
Inspired by his desire to help his
family and his interest in acting, mechanical engineering student Karl Gabriel
signed up on Star Magic’s public acting workshop almost two years ago. Not too
long, Karl auditioned for Pinoy Boyband
Superstar, but unlike the others, he unfortunately didn’t make it into the
live shows because as he recalls, he got too emotional during the taping.
But his stint wasn’t all for naught
as he landed a role in Wansapanataym
as a bully to Marco Gallo. In the long run, Karl hopes to be able to land his
own title project and to work with the likes of Liza Soberano in the future.
MARKUS PATERSON
Age:
19
Birthday: June 3
Talents: Singing and acting
Unfortunately though, he didn’t make the cut but the show did
open doors for him in the business.
Since
the end of his stint on the competition, Markus has been part of a digiserye, a
Wansapanataym episode and more
recently the daytime serye Sana Dalawa
Ang Puso.
Despite delving into acting, Markus didn’t let his musical side
take the backseat as he also became a Tarsier Records artist.
CHARLIE DIZON
Age:
21
Birthday: April 12
Talents:
Acting and dancing
It
may have taken quite some time for her to eventually get into Star Magic, but
Charlie Dizon is convinced that the wait is all worth it. Safe to say that
Charlie is really passionate about acting after juggling attending acting
workshops and finishing her degree in Human Resource Management for almost two
years.
Her hard work eventually paid off as
Charlie became part of a number of films such as Finally Found Someone, Loving in Tandem and Seven Sundays, where she got her biggest break. Her last big screen
role left an indelible mark in her psyche that Charlie hopes to be able to
focus in doing comedy roles in the years to come. One of Charlie’s biggest
blessings in her budding career to date, is her role in the newest fantasy soap
Bagani.
TONY LABRUSCA
Age:
22
Birthday: August 7
Talents:
Acting & singing
He could very well be the poster boy
of moving on what with his viral TV commercials for a local fast food giant. After
that he became one of the successful products of Pinoy Boyband Superstar, despite failing to make it on the Top 5.
His
exposure on the show became the stepping-stone for him to become part of the
primetime soap La Luna Sangre as the lobo named Jake.
Despite
his venture into acting, performing onstage has always been in Tony’s blood as
the son of actor-dancer Boom Labrusca and former Kulay singer Angel Jones. He
has especially showcased his singing skills through his various guestings on ASAP and through his debut single “Tanging
Ikaw,” which was released last year. With his soap over, Tony is looking
forward to working with veterans like Eddie Garcia in the future and to
continue inspiring other showbiz hopefuls all over the country.
