In Trese, “When it comes to the supernatural, the cops have Alexanda Trese on speed dial. Set in Manila and based on the award-winning Filipino comic, TRESE brings horror folklore like you’ve never heard before.”

Based on the acclaimed black and white horror/crime komik by writer Budjette Tan and artist Kajo Baldisimo, Trese follows the adventures of Alexandra Trese, a detective who deals with crimes of supernatural origin.

The original comic, which began publishing in 2005 and is still ongoing, is a point of national pride for Filipino comic book fans, and went on to win Best Graphic Literature in the 29th National Book Award in November 2010.

The animated series appears to go out of its way to pay homage to those Filipino roots, setting the story in Manila and showing Trese wielding the mystical kris, an ancient sword commonly used in the Philippines that originates in Indonesia.

YASSI PRESSMAN

Yassi Pressman, fresh off the success of her acting stint in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, goes back to her hosting roots and is now taking centerstage as the game show’s host.

During the digital mediacon on May 25, she said, “dahil ako ang host na mag-isa lang, the pressure is all on me.

“But I am very very lucky, na meron kaming mga kasamang mga celebrities na magiging ka-partner ng mga contestants namin and it’s exciting everytime.

“And isa pa po sa pinaka-exciting, the coin, hindi mo alam kung saan pupunta, lalo na pag may malalaking halaga na, tapos lahat nakasalalay doon sa pagbagsak lang ng coin.

“And with the contestants and their stories, parang gustung-gusto mo silang manalo.”

The host and actress added, “thank you po ‘Rolling In It’ UK and Philippines, Cignal TV and TV5 for trusting me. It is an honor to be here and for me it is such a big challenge.”

Pressman also admitted that she got some hosting tips from Kapamilya star and a good friend Robi Domingo.

“Yes, si Robi, and he called me, binigyan niya pa ako nang napakaraming pointers. And he said, ‘just go Yas, just be yourself and have fun.’

“Meron pa siyang nakakatawang sinabi pero hindi ko na ikukuwento. But thank you Robi and I love you!”

Rolling In It Philippines is a luck-based game show and contestants can be twice luckier as they are given a chance to play with a celebrity partner to help them through the rounds and win.

Our weekends will surely be star-studded as new sets of celebrities team up with our contestants weekly for the chance to win up to Php 2,000,000.

The teams will test their luck through the roll of a coin on a giant arcade machine and will compete through a series of questions and choices together.

They can opt to PLAY to roll again and answer another question, increasing their chances to earn, or to PASS the opportunity to a different pair, especially when the risk of losing their earnings is at stake. The pair who earns the most money after 9 questions advances to the Jackpot Round.

Only those who think quickly, strategize willfully, and have lady luck on their side will go home as the winner in this game show.

Get ready to luck and roll! Rolling In It Philippines premieres on TV5 on  June 5 at 7PM. GMA Network's Drama Series "Babawiin Ko Ang Lahat" Airs Suspenseful Finale

GMA Network's drama series 'Babawiin Ko Ang Lahat' keeps viewers on the edge of their seats as it airs its suspenseful finale this Friday (May 21) on the Afternoon Prime block.

Dulce (Carmina Villarroel) and her daughter Trina (Liezel Lopez) continue to destroy the lives of Iris (Pauline Mendoza) and her family - holding the frail Victor (John Estrada) hostage and making sure all of his riches are entrusted to them.

CARMINA VILLARROEL

Now imbued with the spirit to fight back for her family, Iris joins forces with her mother Christine (Tanya Garcia-Lapid), her half-brother Joel (Kristoffer Martin), and Randall (Dave Bornea) to finally put an end to Dulce's cunning antics.

JOHN ESTRADA

As the series draws to a close this Friday, the star-studded cast of Babawiin Ko Ang Lahat sends their sincerest gratitude to all their followers for the overwhelming feedback and for allowing the show to pull off a victory in the ratings game. Further, the cast members are also grateful to all the viewers for following the journey of different characters who have different reasons for wanting to get back whatever it is they lost.

PAULINE MENDOZA

Moreover, Pauline shares the biggest lesson she wants the viewers to learn from her character, "''Yung pagiging strong niya as a person. Lalo ngayon na may pinagdadaanan tayong pandemic, maraming tao ang nalulungkot at nagkakaroon ng anxiety. 'Yung character ni Iris, sobrang dami niyang pinagdaanan sa buhay at isinakripisyo para sa pamilya niya. Just have faith in God and maniwala ka sa sarili mo. Kailangan mong matuto na tumayo sa sarili mong mga paa."

TANYA GARCIA-LAPID

Liezel, in turn, expresses what she hopes for the viewers to witness should there be another season, "Gusto kong maikuwento sa viewers kung ano 'yung background story ni Trina. Bakit siya lumaking masama? Ano 'yung nangyari sa kanila sa Japan? Bakit longing siya sa pagmamahal ng isang tatay at sobrang mahal na mahal niya si Randall? Mas maganda kung laliman 'yung story niya."

KRISTOFFER MARTIN

Meanwhile, Dave reveals some of his greatest takeaways from starring in the series, "Best gift for me is ako po 'yung napiling main leading man ni Pauline and nabigyan po ako ng chance na maipakita 'yung work ko, 'yung commitment ko sa character ko, and the experience with my co-stars. Of course, 'yung aral din po from our veteran co-actors na sobrang generous when it comes to sharing 'yung ideas and learnings for our craft."

LIEZEL LOPEZ

Playing equally vital roles in the series are Neil Ryan Sese as Inspector Jun, Therese Malvar as Lala, Tanya Gomez as Menchie, Gio Alvarez as Greg Madrigal, and Manolo Pedrosa as Justin Roxas.

DAVE BORNEA

This original series, created by the GMA Entertainment Group, is headed by SVP for Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable, FVP for Drama Redgie A. Magno, SAVP for Drama Cheryl Ching-Sy, Senior Program Manager Anthony R. Pastorpide, and Executive Producer Nieva S. Magpayo.

MANOLO PEDROSA

Will this be the downfall of Dulce? Or will her raging wrath thrive to destroy Iris and her family until the very end?

TANYA GOMEZ & THERESE MALVAR

Don’t miss the much-awaited finale of Babawiin Ko Ang Lahat - under the helm of director Jules Katanyag - this Friday, May 21, on GMA Afternoon Prime.
