World’s Best Elvis Performer Arrives in Manila

THE World’s Best Elvis Performer, Chris Connor, arrives in Manila today (April 22) for a three-night concert series at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, Resorts World Manila, made possible by Royale Chimes Concerts and Events Inc.

Slated on April 24, 25 and 26, 8PM, Chris Connor and his band The Steels will headline a show entitled ‘The World Famous Elvis Show’. The concert highlights and recreates the Elvis Presley’s most memorable performances: 'That’s the Way It Is', the King of Rock & Roll’s 1970 Las Vegas performance and his 1972 sold-out Madison Square Garden Show, where he made his first-ever live appearance in the city and five years before his death.

“BATMAN V SUPERMAN” TEASER POSTERS REVEALED

FOLLOWING last Monday's unveiling of the teaser trailer, Warner Bros. Pictures has now also launched the first two teaser one-sheets of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

The posters individually feature close-ups of the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel with opposite logos superimposed on each other's face.

“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is the highly anticipated action adventure from director Zack Snyder starring Cavill in the role of Clark Kent/Superman, and Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman.

The film also stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane returning from “Man of Steel,” Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film.

“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder are producing, with Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Wesley Coller, David S. Goyer and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers.

Set to open in the Philippines on March 26, 2016, “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is based on Superman characters created by Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster, Batman characters created by Bob Kane, and Wonder Woman created by William Moulton Marston, appearing in comic books published by DC Entertainment.

MORISSETTE, STRIVES TO BE THE PHILIPPINES' NEXT BIG DIVA

Philippines’ Next Big Diva, Morissette, channels her inner superstar at her self-titled debut album released by Star Music.
“I’ve waited so long for this blessing to happen so I definitely gave my best in all of my performances in this album,” said Morissette. “If there’s anything that I can be proud of as a singer, it’s this album and how I shared my passion for music. And I hope people will feel that once they hear my songs.”

The Kapamilya singer said she was able to explore and experiment with the music while recording her album as she got to sing a variety of genres that include rhythm and blues, ballad, and pop.

Among the bonus tracks is the original version of “Akin Ka Na Lang” and the popular movie and teleserye theme songs that she has recorded including “Anong Nangyari Sa Ating Dalawa” from “Two Wives,” “Kapag Ako Ay Nagmahal” from “Flordeliza,” and “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” which she sang with Daniel Padilla for the box-office movie “Crazy Beautiful You.” It also contains the minus one versions of select tracks.

‘Summer Happiness’, simula na sa newest station ID ng TV5

INILABAS na ng Happy Network, TV5, ang kanilang pinakahihintay na bagong Summer Station ID ngayong Linggo, April 12.

Pinamagatang “Happy Ka Dito This Summer,” patungkol ang Station ID sa prinsipyo at misyon ng TV5 bilang isang television network – ang sama-samang ipalaganap ang saya at ligaya sa mga manonood at mag-hatid ng kakaibang viewing experience sa pamamagitan ng mga programang sumasalamin sa buhay ng mga Pilipino. 

Ang nasabing Station ID ay bunga rin ng “Happy Ka Dito” campaign ng TV5 na inilunsad noong nakaraang taon kung saan binago ng Network ang kanilang programming at tinutukan ang pag-gawa ng mga light entertainment programs, world-class at maaksyong sports programs na nagbubuklod sa atin bilang isang lahi, at news and information programs na hindi lamang nagbabalita, kundi talaga namang umaaksyon.

Tampok sa “Happy Ka Dito This Summer” Station ID ang mga Kapatid stars at prominenteng TV5 personalities na nagsama-sama upang lalong pagtibayin ang misyon ng Network na maghatid saya at ligaya sa mga Pilipino. May mga naglalakihang pulang lobo ring ikinalat sa mga lungsod para dalhin ang saya sa siyudad.
