World’s Best Elvis Performer Arrives in Manila

THE World’s Best Elvis Performer, Chris Connor, arrives in Manila today (April 22) for a three-night concert series at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, Resorts World Manila, made possible by Royale Chimes Concerts and Events Inc.
Slated on April 24, 25 and 26, 8PM, Chris Connor and his band The Steels will headline a show entitled ‘The World Famous Elvis Show’. The concert highlights and recreates the Elvis Presley’s most memorable performances: 'That’s the Way It Is', the King of Rock & Roll’s 1970 Las Vegas performance and his 1972 sold-out Madison Square Garden Show, where he made his first-ever live appearance in the city and five years before his death.

Voted in 2014 as the first-ever 'World’s Best Elvis Performer' via a worldwide official fan poll, Connor is excited to perform in Manila for all the Elvis fanatics and perhaps to a whole new generation who just hear his songs on the radio or CD and watch his shows on video.
Elvis acts are probably the most in number in the world. This is why it’s so hard to find one that truly mesmerizes in the way that the true King of Rock did in his day. But Chris Connor, the man behind 'The World Famous Elvis Show,' is recognized today even by peers as the closest anyone living today could come to Elvis Presley.
Elvis’ right hand man and close friend (for almost 17 years) Joe Esposito has responded to him so enthusiastically after a performance in Memphis. “Wow, that boy is good, damn he looks just like Elvis,” says Esposito.

Witness Connor belt out classics from “Proud Mary,” “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” “Hound Dog” to “Blue Suede Shoes” in this rare occasion when the world’s most revered tribute act brings fans down to memory lane.
Connor has played in sold out shows across Europe—Ireland, Holland, the UK—Australia, and the United States—Atlanta, New Orleans, New York, and Elvis’ hometown, Memphis.
The ‘World Famous Elvis Show’ is presented by Resorts World Manila and Rotary International District 3830 with the support of UK Derm Erase, Creativepedia Corporation, RJ 100.3 FM, Mossimo Radio, Mellow 94.7, Easy Rock 96.3, Retro DCG-FM 105.9, Energy FM 106.7 and Business World.

The ‘World Famous Elvis Show’ is a world-class act and an event you shouldn’t miss. It is a show for the whole family and a perfect gift to Mom and Dad and even to your grandparents.
Tickets are available at all Ticketworld, SM Tickets and Ticketnet outlets.

The film also stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane returning from “Man of Steel,” Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film.

“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder are producing, with Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Wesley Coller, David S. Goyer and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers.

Philippines’ Next Big Diva, Morissette, channels her inner superstar at her self-titled debut album released by Star Music.
“I’ve waited so long for this blessing to happen so I definitely gave my best in all of my performances in this album,” said Morissette. “If there’s anything that I can be proud of as a singer, it’s this album and how I shared my passion for music. And I hope people will feel that once they hear my songs.”

The Kapamilya singer said she was able to explore and experiment with the music while recording her album as she got to sing a variety of genres that include rhythm and blues, ballad, and pop.
“I don’t want to be identified as just a singer who can hit high notes. I’m more than determined to become a total performer not only for my audience but also for myself,” Morisette said.

Featured in Morissette’s debut album are seven songs, namely, “Throwback” with KZ Tandingan, “Hinahanap Pa Rin,” ”Mahal Kita, Mahal Mo Sya, Mahal N’ya Ay Iba,” “You and I,” “Run Like A Warrior,” the acoustic version of her “Himig Handog 2014” hit song ”Akin Ka Na Lang,” and her carrier single “Di Mapaliwanag.”

Ang “Happy Ka Dito This Summer” Station ID ay produced and directed by UNITEL.
