Starring Andrea, Kyle, Juan Karlos, Elijah, Zaijian, Xyriel, and more: YOUNG STARS SHED LIGHT ON MENTAL HEALTH, IMPORTANT ISSUES IN “SENIOR HIGH”

THE country’s next generation of stars, led by Andrea Brillantes, Kyle Echarri, Juan Karlos, Elijah Canlas, Zaijian Jaranilla, and Xyriel Manabat, will tackle the most pressing issues that Gen Z’s are facing today in “Senior High,” ABS-CBN and iWantTFC’s new primetime series that premieres tonight (August 28) at 9:30 PM.

Twin Sisters Sky & Luna (Andrea Brillantes)

The mystery-thriller series aims to shed light on important and relevant issues that individuals struggle with no matter what social class they belong to. Topics such as suicide, mental health, bullying, and peer pressure are highlighted in the series to help viewers have a better understanding.

Tanya (Angel Aquino)

“We tackle sensitive topics. I really don’t want to romanticize drugs, mental health, etc. I want to make this different and magkaroon talaga ng impact and makatulong talaga kami sa ibang tao na we need to take responsibility for our own life,” shared Andrea who echoed the sentiments of her co-stars.

Archie (Elijah Canlas)

“Senior High” opens with the reunion of twin sisters Luna and Sky, both played by Andrea, who have completely different personalities. Luna is smart and bubbly, while Sky is indifferent to others out of resentment to Luna and their mother Tanya (Angel Aquino) for abandoning her with her grandmother.

Gino (Juan Karlos) & Z (Daniela Stranner)

Sky will enter a whole new world when she joins Luna at the prestigious Northford High. She will get to know more about the different cliques in school, including the group of the wealthy bullies and siblings Archie (Elijah) and Z (Daniela Stranner), Z’s rockstar boyfriend Gino (Juan Karlos), and their friend Poch (Miggy Jimenez).

Roxy (Xyriel Manabat) & Tim (Zaijian Jaranilla)

The other faction of students are the “good ones” who have dirty secrets of their own - Obet (Kyle) and young couple Tim (Zaijian) and Roxy (Xyriel).

The students of Northford High will be in hot water when Luna dies after falling from a balcony. It will be ruled as a suicide, but Sky is convinced that someone pushed her sister. Sky will become determined to seek justice and in the process, she will uncover a lot more shocking twists than she has ever imagined.

Sky (Andrea Brillantes) & Obet (Kyle Echarri)

Did Luna really commit suicide? What are the secrets of the students?

“Senior High” is directed by Onat Diaz and Andoy Ranay, the same directors of the hit revenge series “Dirty Linen.” It also features Tommy Alejandrino, Gela Atayde, Baron Geisler, Mon Confiado, Sylvia Sanchez, Desiree Del Valle, Kean Cipriano, Ana Abad Santos, Gerald Madrid, Inka Magnaye, Angeli Bayani, Ryan Eigenmann, Rans Rifol, Rap Robes, Kakki Teodoro, and Floyd Tena.

Lydia (Sylvia Sanchez)

ABS-CBN Entertainment and iWantTFC present a Dreamscape Entertainment production, “Senior High,” airing starting tonight, August 28, Mondays to Fridays at 9:30 PM on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, TV5, iWantTFC, and TFC.

Together in one studio for the first time since the pandemic, news personalities from GMA News Manila, GMA Regional TV, GMA News Online, and GMA Super Radyo gathered for the GMA Integrated News Omnibus plug that debuted on air and online last August 7.

"This was a massive production endeavor involving many departments in the Network. We had to time everything, the logistics, the setup, and the actual shoot so as not to hamper the news operation," said Vice President and Deputy Head for News Programs and Specials Michelle Seva.

With over 1,000 journalists and personnel across all platforms, 12 strategically located regional TV stations that air newscasts in local languages, 7 Super Radyo stations nationwide, and almost 204 million subscribers online, GMA Integrated News brings the biggest and most important news and updates to Filipinos here and abroad.

It is the home to the leading and most trusted news programs on Philippine TV.

Its flagship newscast, 24 Oras, is still the most watched TV program for January 1 to July 31, 2023, in Total Philippines (combined Urban and Rural) according to Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.

Together with the rest of its newscasts – 24 Oras Weekend, Saksi, GTV’s Balitanghali, State of the Nation, Dobol B TV, and Regional TV News – GMA Integrated News keeps viewers updated throughout the day.

GMA Integrated News also delivers the most regional newscasts in local languages. Across the regions, viewers tune in to GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon, GMA Regional TV Balitang Bicolandia, GMA Regional TV Balitang Southern Tagalog, GMA Regional TV Balitang Bisdak, GMA Regional TV One Western Visayas, GMA Regional TV One Mindanao, and the morning news programs Mornings with GMA Regional TV, GMA Regional TV Live!, and At Home with GMA Regional TV.

Across the airwaves, its Super Radyo nationwide is the first to deliver headlines, breaking news, and special coverage.

GMA News Online likewise ensures that netizens read and watch only the most up-to-date, clear, and factual news and information.

Unmoved by the changing of the seasons, GMA Integrated News remains steadfast in its commitment to delivering factual news on television, radio, and online – bringing the biggest news and stories of the Filipino to the world.
