CELEBRATED OPM icon Gary Valenciano, a.k.a. Gary V, is set to return to Music Museum this August for a special birthday concert series titled Gary V: Back At The Museum.
The series takes place on August 4, 12, 19, and 26, marking his triumphant return to an iconic venue where he previously captivated audiences with his electrifying performances.
Fans can expect a thrilling performance from the multi-talented artist, who has inspired millions of fans through his craft as an actor, dancer, musical arranger, musician, singer, songwriter, and video producer.
Known for his ability to connect with audiences and his high-energy stage presence, Gary will surely deliver an entertaining and meaningful show.
Gary's previous shows at Music Museum were quite memorable. So when his management team at Manila Genesis Entertainment & Management, Inc. began planning for his 40th anniversary, they knew they had to do something at Music Museum.
After all, it’s the perfect place to celebrate this significant milestone in Gary’s career, not just because of the venue’s intimate setting but also because of his relationship with it.
Over the years, Gary has performed over 100 concerts at Music Museum. His extensive history at the venue includes concerts such as 'Sights and Sounds Of Gary V' in 1989; 'Images Of Gary V' in 1990; 'A Decade Of Gary V' in 1993; 'Gary V By Request'; 'Gary V Hits Music Museum'; 'Gary V @ 23'; 'His Love'; and many more.
In 2010, he collaborated with actor, director, and writer Freddie Santos in 'Gary V: Soul In Motion', his first solo, full-length concert series since 'Live At 25'. In 2012, Gary V pushed the boundaries of live performances in the Philippines by using video mapping technology in a concert titled 'On Higher Ground'.
This series marks the birthdays of Gary (August 6) and his wife Angeli (August 26) and supports the Shining Light Foundation. This non-profit organization provides medical aid to indigent families and scholarships to deserving children, which resonates with Gary's dedication to children's rights and aiding those in need.
The setlist of Gary V: Back At The Museum showcases his greatest hits. He will share the stage with his daughter Kiana, who will fly in from the US for a special guest appearance, and the Manoeuvres.
His eldest son Paolo will direct the show, and Mon Faustino will handle the musical direction. Soundcheck will provide technical support.

THE Moon, directed by Kim Yong-hwa, is a gripping, emotional, epic-action, and one of Korea’s highly anticipated films of the year. It will open across the Philippines on AUGUST 16.
In The Moon, Korea’s first manned mission to the moon ends in a tragic disaster when an explosion occurs on board. Seven years later, a second human spaceflight is launched successfully but a strong solar wind causes it to malfunction.
One astronaut Sun-woo (DOH) is left stranded in space. Facing another fatal catastrophe, the Naro Space Center turns to its former managing director Dr. Kim (SUL) to help bring Sun-woo back home safely.

GMA Network’s primetime masterpiece “Voltes V: Legacy” continues to dominate the entertainment world as it becomes the first-ever Philippine TV program to participate in the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2023.
GMA is invited by Dogu Publishing for the biggest annual comics convention in California, USA. According to Dogu Publishing CEO Jerry Blank, they aim to expand the reach of international panels from around the globe, driving the way for a more diverse comic book industry.
SDCC 2023 will take place from July 20 to 23 and will be attended by GMA Senior Vice President Lilybeth G. Rasonable, Assistant Vice President for Drama Helen Rose S. Sese, Assistant Vice President for Post Operations Vincent C. Gealogo, and Telesuccess Productions Executive Producer Larson Chan.
The highly-anticipated event will also not be complete without the cast of “Voltes V: Legacy” including Miguel Tanfelix (Steve Armstrong), Ysabel Ortega (Jamie Robinson), Gabby Eigenmann (Commander Robinson), and the show’s esteemed director Mark Reyes.
GMA will formally make its Comic-Con debut on July 22 from 10 am to 11 am at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina. Afterward, the cast will be signing a limited-edition poster on the convention floor.
Attendees are encouraged to stop by Dogu Publishing's Booth (#4807) at the SDCC for details on how to participate in the signing. Since the opportunity is extremely limited, fans are advised to secure their place early so they don't miss out.

ONE of the major threats posed by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Synthetic Media is the possibility of displacing thousands of Filipino workers belonging to the creative industries owing to the features provided by AI apps that can now produce—photos, videos, and songs.
Nathaniel “Njel” De Mesa, Vice Chairman of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) said: “We need to have a foresight and anticipate the problem of massive displacement of works due to the advancement in artificial intelligence.”
“All of us are in agreement that this ‘Oppenheimer’ moment is inevitable and that the government should at least start the conversations on how we can help Filipino workerswho might be a ffected—especially those in the creative industries.” He added.
Due to this reason, the MTRCB conducted Pulong with the Creative industry which was attended by Artists, Production Specialists, Producers, and partners from the government on 06 July 2023, in Max’s Scout Tuazon, Quezon City.
