MULTI-GENRE Director GB Sampedro scores two new 'number one' contents in the Philippines’ number one streaming service, Vivamax.

Right now, the number one original series on Vivamax is ‘High (School) On Sex’ and the number one movie is ‘Purificacion', started streaming last August 5, 2022.

‘High (School) On Sex’ is a sexy comedy coming-of-age series starring ”Boy Bastos” star Wilbert Ross and reuniting him with ”Crush Kong Curly” director GB Sampedro. Together with Denise Esteban, Migs Almendras, Angela Morena and Kat Dovey. This hot barkada will take you high. High on love, high on sex.

The series has been constantly at the top spot since it premiered in May 21, 2022. It’s also trending on social media for its sexy and controversial scenes.

Meanwhile, in ‘Purificacion’ the director of 'Kinsenas, Katapusan' and 'Doblado', presents a sexy thriller that would make you question your faith. A policewoman investigates the series of killings that happened to women of Santa Monica and her main suspect is the new priest, Father Purificacion played by Josef Elizalde. Also starring Cara Gonzales, Ava Mendez, Rob Guinto, Stephanie Raz, Quinn Carrillo and Kat Dovey.

Director GB Sampedro started as a director in the musical drama anthology 'Your Song'. His first feature length film 'Astig' starring Dennis Trillo, Arnold Reyes, Edgar Allan Guzman and Sid Lucero, was one of the entries of the most prestigious independent film festival in the Philippines, Cinemalaya in 2009.

Director Sampedro other movie projects, the Vhong Navarro starrer Mang Kepweng Returns in 2017, D’ Ninang starring Comedy Queen, Aiai delas Alas in 2020.

Last year, the multi-awarded director started his new journey with Vivamax with his first two number one movies, Kaka starring Sunshine Guimary and Jerald Napoles, and Crush Kong Curly starring AJ Raval and Wilbert Ross.

Director GB Sampedro is now filming 5 in 1 reuniting him for the third time with Wilbert Ross.  And his next project is a new psycho sexy thriller titled Kara Krus.

He is also known as a concert director and it seems that he is excited and enjoying directing different kind of films.

According to the multi-genre director, “Sa bawat project na ginagawa I make sure na gusto ko ang trabahong tinatanggap ko para nae-excite at nae-enjoy ko itong gawin at the same time.

“Preference ko rin kasi ang iba’t ibang uri ng proyekto ang tinatanggap ko para laging bago para sa akin ang gagawin ko. Kahit sa pelikula mas gusto ko na iba-ibang genre para rin 'di ako mapako sa isang uri lang ng film.” 

And on August 26, he is set to direct the concert of the trending trio Beks Battalion (composed of  Chad Kinis, Lassy and MC Muah) titled Beks2Beks2Beks, happening at the New Frontier Theater with guests including Vice Ganda.
