LAST September 7, Socmed House (Ang Bahay ni Direk Miah), the reality show of KSMBPI (Kapisan ng mga Social Media Broadcasters ng Pilipinas, Inc.) has opened and it can be watched over and over again on their Facebook page and the KRTV YouTube channel.
Director Jeremiah Palma admitted that the peg of the online show is PBB (Pinoy Big Brother), where 10 housemates will be chosen every week and will live in a condo unit somewhere in Quezon City, where they will go through some challenges, workshops and training.
In the first batch, only nine entered the house, namely Cristina Campuspos Abaigar (Noveleta, Cavite, 19), Princess Stephanie Mongit (Pasay City, 18), Johnson Baronia (Trece Martires, Cavite, 26), Clint Kenneth Benamer (Tanza, Cavite, 31), Ruel Carreon (Caloocan City, 43), Kriszle dela Cruz Teope (Quezon City, 35), Matthew Gabriel Canilang (San Pedro, Laguna, 19), Marvin Escueta (Quezon City, 34), and Rechelle Ann Vargas Lorsano (Quezon City, 17).
According to Dr. Michael Aragon, they chose ordinary people who want to be actors, as long as they are of legal age, they can join or apply to the reality show.
It will have four batches, from which the grand winner will be chosen after all the housemates have entered. The winner of the online voting will be the star of the movie produced by KSMBPI, whose advocacy is to help the movie industry, especially the indie filmmakers.

The founding chairman said, "lahat silang 40 housemates ay kasama sa movie, kaya lahat sila ay winner na rin. Sa ranking na lang sila magkakaiba at sa roles na mapupunta sa kanila."
After the reality show, the organization won't sign or manage anything because it's a conflict of interest. Their only aim is to train for free and there is absolutely nothing in return.

"This is what advocacy is all about. We will not sign up anybody. So, if someone is interested in managing them, they can do so. Pakakawalan namin sila."
The only request of the non-government and non-profit organization, that whoever is successful among the housemates who enter Socmed House, is to 'pay it forward' and also help those who dream, but do not have the ability to support their ambition.

Meanwhile, last Sunday, September 11, Batch 1 housemates exited, where they showed off their acting abilities as the final challenge.
And soon Batch 2 housemates will introduce, who will enter the Socmed House (Ang Bahay ni Direk Miah).
