Entertainment Editors' Awards for Movies, dubbed The Eddys, ngayong Linggo,
July 9 na gaganapin sa Kia Theater, Quezon City.
Ang mag-amang Edu at Luis Manzano
ang magiging hosts ng naturang awards night, na first time na mangyayari sa
kanilang respective careers bilang sought-after emcees in Philippine showbiz.
A glittering roster of artists
will provide the production numbers throughout the exciting evening dedicated
to honoring the best creative minds and talents in the movie industry.
Pangungunahan ito ng top TV and
movie love team na sina James Reid at Nadine Lustre na may pasabog na number.
Magpapatalbugan naman sina Ella Cruz, Julian Trono, Yassi Pressman at Arjo Atayde sa
kani-kanilang respective musical numbers.
A must-see production number naman
ang pagsasamahan nina singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid at Concert King Martin
Nievera. Kasama pa sina Morissette Amon
at Klarisse para sa isang tribute sa namayapang OPM legend na si Willy Cruz.
Pangungunahan naman ng top-caliber
and award-winning actor and actress na sina Christopher de Leon at Lorna
Tolentino ang mga celebrities na magpi-present ng various awards.
Kasama sa list ang rising young
stars na sina AJ Muhlach at Phoebe Walker; Empoy Marquez at Alessandra de Rossi
ng upcoming movie na "Kita Kita;" ang mag-asawang Sarah Lahbati at
Richard Gutierrez na napapanood ngayon sa top-rating ABS-CBN series, "La
Luna Sangre;" Edward Barber at Maymay Entrata; JC Santos at Bela Padilla;
Elmo Magalona at Janella Salvador na bida sa Star Cinema’s teen horror na
"Bloody Crayons" at ang mga primetime drama queens na sina Cristine
Reyes at Jodi Sta. Maria, at marami pang iba.
Ipagkakaloob din ang Special
Awards kina Director Lav Diaz (Manny Pichel Award), TV host/columnist Boy
Abunda (Joe Quirino Award) at Regal Films matriarch Lily Monteverde (Producer
of the Year).

sa direksyon ni Arnel Natividad, ang The Eddys ay joint production ng Viva Live
at ABS-CBN.
(The Eddys is mounted by the
Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd), a non-stock, non-profit
organization of entertainment editors from the country's top broadsheets and
tabloids.
The awards is the group's way of
encouraging Filipino filmmakers, producers, writers, actors and other allied
artists in the Philippine movie industry to continue pursuing their passion of
creating films that mirror the realities of our society.)
